Middelfart Matchrace Center and Danish Sailing Association hosted an IU seminar in conjunction with the DONG Energy Cup 2007 Grade 2 match racing event. The seminar included two days of classroom sessions, September 19-20, and three days of on the water umpiring at the DONG Energy Cup, September 21-23. ISAF thanks both organizations for organizing the seminar.
There were 9 participants from Denmark, France, Germany, Latvia, Poland and Spain. Their efforts and contribution made the seminar a great success. They worked hard in the classroom part and did a great job as umpires in the match racing event. There is a good reason to believe that ISAF will soon have several new IUs as a result of the seminar.
Søren Laugesen and Jens Henrik Lund, both from Middelfart Match Race Center, and Anni Jensen and Mikael Jeremiassen, both from Danish Sailing Association, are owed many thanks for their work which made the seminar possible. The instructors were Jack Lloyd (NZL) and Jan Stage (DEN).
